AUSF NUORO

Since 1996, the Forestry Students University Association of  Nuoro  (AUSF Nuoro) has as its aims:

• actively research and spread information relating to the territory to facilitate knowledge and to facilitate the contact of the future forestry technician with what will be his workplace.

• be a place for meeting, socializing and dialogue between forestry students; be a reference point for students and graduates.

• create opportunities for education, information and discussion, to spread a correct environmental culture at all levels and in any area:

Our association, with dedication and strong motivation, works locally and in the national territory to raise awareness about sustainable forest management, promoting activities of scientific interest.

The activity of AUSF Nuoro includes the organization of excursions, courses, seminars / webinars and laboratories, together with teachers, academic and research institutions, public bodies and private companies. 

AUSF Nuoro is a member of  IFSA  (International Forestry Students' Association) which brings together over 130 local committees in more than 50 different countries. IFSA's goal is to improve the professional competence of its almost 10,000 members,  through the organization of meetings, participation in international events and conferences, making accessible to students unique opportunities to enrich their curriculum, share perspectives and skills with other people from very different backgrounds.

Thanks to the dedication of its members, active participation and organizational successes, AUSF Nuoro has organized numerous  local and national events. 

These include:  

• 21 October 2021: Organization of the “Equilibriamoci” event in collaboration with the Diversity and Acceptance Committee (DivA) and the Orientation Committee of the UNISS Department of Agriculture;

• Between 2020 and 2021: Organization of 14 webinars in collaboration with the ODAF (order of agronomists and forestry doctors) Province of Nuoro, Uninuoro and other bodies, associations and spinoffs;  

• 2021: Production and direction of the video for the Orientation Committee of the Department of Agriculture of the University of Sassari, aimed at promoting the Degree Course in Forestry and Environmental Sciences in Nuoro;  

• Between 2009 and 2018: Organization of the Maggio Universitario Nuorese (MUN);

• Organization of the II National Assembly of AUSF Italy 2011: "Wood-cork and virgin forests".
