AUSF ITALY

Confederation of University Associations of Forestry Students of Italy

Student associations with an Italian forestry orientation took its first steps in 1990, with the foundation of the AUSF Viterbo (Forestry Students University Association) at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Tuscia. Over the years, other students, finding inspiration, have founded new ones on the national territory.

AUSF Italy was born, becoming the first organized form of aggregation of forestry students at national level, with the aim of bringing together and coordinating all those student associations of forestry formed in Italian universities.

In fact, all forestry student associations can join AUSF Italy.

The idea was announced in plenary session during the III National Forestry Congress, held in October 2008 in Taormina (Proceedings of the III National Forestry Congress, volume 2, page 1175).

AUSF Italy was officially born during the Constituent Assembly which took place from 26 to 29 September 2009, at the "Garden of Apennine Flora" in Capracotta (IS) and was officially presented at the VII National Congress SISEF (Italian Society of Forestry and Forest Ecology) (Pesche (IS) 29 September-3 October 2009).

AUSF Italy is a non-profit, voluntary, non-party organization of technical and cultural nature, which has been given a confederative structure, and therefore a coordinating role.
